Finds a space for its solution
Challenge:
BetaSphere had an innovative customer-feedback solution, but their
messaging and positioning were problematic. They couldn't clearly
articulate how their solution fit with the established CRM, Software
Development and Collaborative Commerce markets. Furthermore, because
both analysts and journalists divide their responsibilities by beats,
and they did not fit clearly delineated beats, BetaSphere was having
trouble convincing people that they should be covering their solution.
Solution:
BetaSphere had not previously worked with the analyst community. We
secured appointments with analysts at all the leading research firms.
From their feedback we were able to rework BetaSphere's messaging and
positioning to resonate with the press. In addition to a cover story for
Smart Business Magazine and Internet World, we secured articles in
InfoWorld, Information Week, CFO, SD Times, Internet World, Beyond
Computing, eWeek, CRM Daily, Zcast TV, Software Business Magazine, The
San Jose Business Journal and The San Francisco Examiner, among others.
From our work with the analysts we were mentioned in numerous reports
and were named by Aberdeen Group as one of the Top Ten Collaborative
Commerce Vendors. Futhermore, based on the strength of the relationships
we forged, some of these analysts were willing to give personal
introductions to the leading financial analysts for these markets. Most
recently we secured the prestigious Cross Roads A-list award which will
be awarded this Fall.
